Your Responsibilities: Under general supervision and following established company policies, the Office Manager (OM) plays a key role in managing staffing, productivity, tax preparation, and marketing for a single office or kiosk within an assigned district. This role involves handling sensitive and confidential information and requires a strong understanding of business operations.


  • Oversee one or more seasonal hourly staff members at a specific location or kiosk
  • Communicate with the Manager regarding the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of seasonal employees as needed
  • Enhance customer service and drive sales growth
  • Perform various administrative tasks
  • Develop, review, approve, and monitor office work schedules and hours
  • Monitor staff performance to ensure compliance with quality standards, deadlines, and procedures, addressing any issues as they arise
  • Review and act on productivity, discount, AAG, and other relevant reports
  • Maintain an organized filing system for tax returns, including acknowledged, rejected, and completed returns
  • Print and ensure timely distribution of client refund checks each morning
  • Follow up with clients who have voided or held tax returns to encourage them to return and complete their filings

Skills for Success:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent business experience
  • Preferred coursework in management, tax preparation, or accounting
  • Previous tax preparation experience and a PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number)
  • Desired one year of management or supervisory experience
  • Proficiency in various computer software applications, including email, internet browsers, Word, Excel, and tax preparation or accounting software
