Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm

Job Summary: The Marketing Database Coordinator utilizes relational databases for the purpose of generating marketing materials and communication efforts.



Additional Department Summary: The Marketing Database Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the utilization of relational databases for the purpose of generating and disseminating recruitment materials through our customer relationship management system. The position pro-actively identifies, develops, and implements recruitment information dissemination for activities, events, and notifications for the Division of Enrollment Management (EM) Customer Relationship Management System (CRM). The primary audience of the CRM includes prospective undergraduate students, parents, high school counselors and principals, college counselors, sponsors, and alumni volunteers.


The position will manage recruitment efforts within the Slate CRM by utilizing web surveys, queries and reports, events, appointments, and automated campaigns for undergraduate recruitment. Serve as liaison when coordinating the goals of multiple departments and prioritizing communications to avoid over-stimulation of the target.
The Database Coordinator facilitates email marketing communications for the Division of Enrollment Management initiates recruitment emails to a high volume of prospective students, parents, high school counselors, and community college advisors yearly using the Slate CRM, and manages campaign requests to support the needs of Enrollment Management and university campus partners. Provides tactical marketing support, including offering innovative and strategic vision for email marketing pieces, managing the approval process of email communications including stakeholder feedback and revision control, scheduling email communications in a manner as to not oversaturate the prospective student inboxes, managing event invitations for both on-campus and regional events, provide Slate CRM support to the Admissions recruitment team as needed, and creative problem solving. Work collaboratively to plan and execute marketing activities for the Division of Enrollment Management.






This position will also work with EM Directors and Assistant Directors to provide summaries of CRM campaign effectiveness regarding key strategic initiatives for campus leadership.


Additionally, this position assists EM Leadership with planning and notification efforts during any emergency, including but not limited to planned and unplanned event cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances.


The position must obtain certification and abide by all confidentiality laws and policies while accessing data that is protected by HIPPA and FERPA regulations.


The position also assists in the supervision and training of student workers as needed.



Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of database, data analysis, and/or market data experience; OR master's degree and some database, data analysis, and/or market data experience.



Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.



Preferred Qualifications: Minor in computer sciences, management information systems or related field and/or experience working with complex relational database systems. Experience with Slate CRM, SQL, Microsoft Excel. Experience with HTML and CSS.
