Job Description:


Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $53,500 - Midpoint: $66,900 (Salaried E8)



Department/Organization: 505181 - Food Service



Normal Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm - nights and weekends as needed



Job Summary: The Business Systems Analyst I documents, installs, analyzes, and/or maintains operating system(s) used for the business purpose of assigned area. Provides technical support and training to users concerning system software and utilities. Serves as subject matter expert for system. Serves as liaison to the central Office of Information Technology (OIT) for advanced support needs.



Additional Department Summary: Dining Services provides administrative support and oversight for campus dining at The University of Alabama. This role provides critical support and management of back-end systems for a large and continually evolving campus dining program.



Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree; OR associate's degree and two (2) years of IT experience; OR High school diploma or GED and four (4) years of IT experience.



Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.



Skills and Knowledge: Strong oral and written communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to self-direct work. Candidate should be willing to work well within a team setting. Represent dining services to students and campus partners in a professional manner.



Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and two years' experience working with point-of-sale or database systems. Previous experience in a university setting.
