Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $74,200 - Midpoint: $100,200 (Salaried E12)

Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm; limited evenings and weekends.
Department Summary: Provides directional leadership and oversight of medical imaging services for the College of Community Health Sciences (CCHS). Oversees all x-ray, ultrasound, and MRI personnel. Establishes and maintains extensive safety control and quality assurance protocols for all radiology services. Ensures compliance with College and University regulations, policies, and procedures. Supports educational mission of College and instructs medical students and residents via Medical Imaging Education rotation. Works with physicians to collect, analyze, and prepare imaging results for interpretation. Reviews monthly billing from various agencies for accuracy. Manages equipment, inventory and supplies. Manages and supervises equipment calibrations and/or performance checks; schedules other equipment maintenance and repair as needed. Evaluates and stays up to date on equipment and testing methods; updates procedure manuals as needed.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of medical imaging experience; OR associate's degree and eight (8) years of medical imaging experience; OR high school diploma or GED and ten (10) years of medical imaging experience. Graduation from an accredited American Medical Association Council of Education program in Radiologic Technology. Certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in good standing.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Five (5) years of MRI technology experience in a clinical or hospital environment, to include MRI safety program participation and oversight. Medical imaging supervisory experience, including participation in staff hiring, training, supervision, evaluation and development, supply ordering, equipment purchasing and evaluation, inventory management and budget management.
Final candidates must submit to and successfully pass a post-offer drug screen.
Skills and Knowledge: Technical knowledge in imaging specialty areas including MRI, Ultrasound, Radiology and Diagnostics. Knowledge of regulatory and licensure requirements, including general knowledge of radiation safety in a clinical setting. Knowledge of MRI archiving and PACS technology. Familiarity with a large ambulatory clinic with multiple providers operating as a multi-specialty group practice in a teaching environment. Ability to manage relationships with service vendors and outside reference labs. Ability to work in partnership with CMO, CNO, and Director of Medical Lab Services to deliver quality patient care and services. Ability to present information clearly and professionally throughout the patient care process. Knowledge/experience with electronic health record systems and radiologic imaging information systems. Proficiency in the use of standard computer application software. Experience with database and spreadsheet software platforms with a working knowledge of data transfer between both applications. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment. Desire to exemplify the core values and mission of the organization, always exercising utmost discretion, diplomacy, and tact in patient/staff interactions. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of protected health information and follow HIPAA regulations at all times.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with radiologic imaging billing and reimbursement including CPT, ICD10, and medical necessity rules. Operational and technical knowledge with radiologic imaging information systems, Fuji's radiology information system, RamSoft PACS. Experience with EHR systems such as Meditech Expanse, NextGen, and EPIC electronic medical record system experience.
