Accounts Receivable Associate at JOHN B SANFILIPPO & SON, INC in Elgin, Illinois

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Accounts Receivable Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately applying payments to customer accounts, reviewing remittances, and matching payments to invoices. You will also create deductions, prepare keyed checks for imaging, and collaborate daily with another Accounts Receivable Associate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently apply payments received via Lockbox, ACH/EFT daily.


• Create deductions, attach supporting documentation, and forward them to Deduction Analysts for further processing.


• Reconcile 820 EDI cash applications.


• Prepare documents for imaging.


• Process checks received via daily mail, including preparation, deposit, and input processing.

Qualifications:

• 
  Education: Some college courses in accounting preferred.


• 
  Experience: One year of Accounts Receivable experience preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  
  
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Applications: Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  
  
  • Strong math aptitude.
