Essential Job Duties:
Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
Respond to calls from computer system end users and provide timely assistance.
Offer desk-side support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
Document and track all trouble calls using the problem tracking application.
Resolve issues or escalate them to the appropriate level of support.
Follow up with customers to ensure ticket closure and a positive service experience.
Hardware and Software Management:
Configure, maintain, install, and replace end user hardware and software.
Perform necessary repairs or coordinate with vendors for repairs.
Install and configure software applications, including operating systems and antivirus updates.
Ensure proper data system backups, media management, and security protocols.
Consultation and Procurement:
Consult with offices to determine hardware and software needs.
Advise on current technology options and obtain quotes for new equipment.
Place orders for existing and new equipment with manager and director approval.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
Two years of experience in a help desk/user support environment.
One year of experience in an NT Local Area Network environment and VPN network.
Additional Information:
This position may require travel to multiple customer sites.
Light physical demands, including exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally.
