Job Description Summary
Performs routine set up, operation, minor routine maintenance, preventative maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting of moderately complex/automated manufacturing equipment. Controls and adjusts machine settings. Inspects in-process parts to ensure consistent quality and removes defective product, packaging, and component material. Assists with root-cause analysis activities for process or product exceptions. Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances. May monitor quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Ensures accurate documentation of all relevant quality, safety, and maintenance documents. Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves basic issues associated with the machine performance and/or product quality.

Job Summary
Responsible for operating production equipment in accordance to established procedures and guidelines. Ensures all operations are carried out in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and applicable regulations. Performs real time visual inspection of product according to standardized checklists. Conducts assigned activities under supervision in support of manufacturing initiatives. Provides information and input to continuous improvement efforts as required. Assists in maintenance of work area housekeeping. Actively participates in team meetings and other group interactions within manufacturing site.
Responsibilities
- Executes Production Orders based on established procedures.
- Perform real-time visual inspection of products at various stages of production.
- Responds to process related issues by reporting findings to supervisor or designated personnel.
- Communicates effectively with Manufacturing Supervisors, Quality Control, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Facilities, Maintenance, Warehouse and Shipping/Receiving regarding issues relating to material availability, machinery downtime, equipment adjustments, and process changes.
- Conducts assigned activities under supervision in support of manufacturing initiatives.
- Assists in training new employees.
- Actively participates in team meetings and other group interactions within manufacturing site.
- Assists in maintenance of work area housekeeping.
- Supports 5S activities within the organization.
- Complies with all laws and policies as they apply to one's job and maintains the highest levels of professionalism, ethics and compliance at all times.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret measuring instruments such as scales, gauges, syringes, etc.
- Basic computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office, SAP).
- Good communication skills (verbal and written).
- Basic knowledge of ISO requirements.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a GMP environment preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Position requires walking and standing for extended periods of time.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision for examining parts, use of PC monitor, reading drawings, prints, visual aids, and other documents.
- Job requires frequent washing down of areas and sanitizing of equipment.
