The Continuous Risk Management Facilitator will support the Environmental Safety, Health, and Mission Assurance contract (ESHMA) in Cleveland, Ohio.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide continuous risk management training to team members, conduct risk identification workshops, provide risk facilitation to programs, projects, and organizations which includes assisting managers in identifying and assigning new risks, tracking, and updating existing risks, and communicating when risks are ready for closure.
  • Provide risk management expertise to various research and flight projects.
  • Manage risk databases with the latest information received from risk owners, assist with formatting and creating risk management reports.
  • Develop and update risk management plan for assigned program, project, and/or organization.
  • Track risks and use data to measure effectiveness of risk management as well as gather and documenting lessons learned.
  • Assist in writing risk statements, providing disposition for candidate risks, estimating risk attributes, and suggesting appropriate steps to manage risks in preparation for risk boards.
  • Provides risk status reports in preparation for major milestone reviews and management review board meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Must have a bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field.
  • Requires 2+ years of recent & related technical experience using Continuous Risk Management.
  • In lieu of degree: Candidates with 6+ years of recent and related work experience will be considered.
  • Knowledge and use of mission assurance applications.
  • The ideal candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication, technical writing, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to interface effectively with hardware and systems engineers to develop comprehensive understanding of NASA GRC hardware, operations, and performance.
  • This position requires US Citizenship due to the sensitivity of customer related information.

DESIRED:

  • Previous experience at NASA or other Federal Agencies is preferred.

WORK LOCATION:

  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule.
  • This position may require some travel.

BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS REQUIRED:

All Bastion employees must be able to pass a national agency check, some positions require a clearance and will require an extensive background verification/check process.


DRUG AND ALCOHOL SCREENING REQUIRED:

All Bastion employees must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen; some contracts require participation in periodic random drug and alcohol screening programs.


STANDARD BASTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • All of Bastion's employees must be team players.
  • Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form, with internal and external customers.
  • Able to follow company programs, processes, procedures, practices, requirements, goals, and objectives.
  • Must have a strong work ethic and must be safety culture oriented.
  • Must be organized with good time management skills.
  • Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
  • Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time).
  • May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).
  • Regular attendance in accordance with an established work schedule is critical.
  • Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
