JOB DESCRIPTION:
The primary responsibility of this position is to analyze and diagnose equipment issues and execute light to moderate maintenance and repairs timely on various manufacturing production equipment and related accessories. Incumbent will work under minimal supervision. Responsibilities captioned below are considered essential job functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to established safety procedures and 5 “ S ” standards (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain the cycle) required to perform daily duties in this position, including the proper techniques used in lifting/moving of parts
Observe, review, test and diagnose performance issues on manufacturing production equipment and related accessories to determine appropriate parts and repairs needed.
Communicate diagnosis to Supervisor to obtain necessary parts or supplies to complete repair
Perform routine maintenance such as motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, air conditioners, hoists, cranes, and sanitary facilities and inspect for excessive wear and/or damage.
Utilize power and hand tools to remove, replace and adjust fasteners and locking mechanisms, hoist and replace parts as needed.
Disassemble machines and makes repairs to hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, pipe fitting, sheet metal, basic electrical mechanical and masonry.
Maintain accurate work order, log of maintenance and repairs performed to specific equipment.
Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED. Trade school education preferred.
Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical operation and repair
Knowledge of various types of Plumbing repair methods
Basic MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
Two years of mechanic experience in manufacturing environment
Experience in shipping/receiving in a production/manufacturing environment
Problem solving skills
Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure
Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques with emphasis on Standardized Work, Continuous Improvement, 5S, and JIT principles
Ability to work overtime as needed both daily and weekends
WORKING ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
May be exposed to moderate heat, light dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, noise and hazards such as electrical shock or gases. Some outside assignments could involve exposure to adverse weather conditions. Adequate hearing protection is required for 85 decibels and above.
