Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Web Focus Admin to join their team remotely. The team is global, meaning some are ET, some are PST, CT, and offshore.

Duties:

• Administer and support WebFocus platform including scalability, security, availability performance, and reliability of the platform


• Automate operation, installation, and monitoring of the WebFocus platform on cloud and on-premises data centers


• Manage and resolve critical support issues with a high degree of technical complexity


• Measure and monitor service and support performance and health (SLAs, KPIs, etc.)


• Plan and implement upgrades of tools and design system enhancements with emerging features


• Collaborate with engineering team on technical strategies, design patterns, and practices relevant to the optimization and continuous improvement of BI platform within the organization


• Design, optimize, document, and implement the operational aspects for administering various BI tools within client data platform ecosystem


• Develop and maintain operational runbooks and training curricula for support team


• Provide enterprise-wide data visualization technical oversight and mentorship for geographically dispersed colleagues and contracted team members


• Implement release management, governance, cost monitoring, user security auditing and performance optimizations to improve customer experience and system reliability


• Apply emerging and traditional technologies for analytics improvements in support of enterprise analytics platform strategy


• Provides database support services to application teams and Technology Services Group (TSG) operations teams including the Network Operations Center


• May require knowledge of multiple database management systems on one or more operating systems


• Primary duties include database software installation, upgrade/patching, infrastructure management, and creation and support of application databases

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field


• Minimum 5+ years of experience with Web Focus and data visualization development and/or platform management


• Minimum 5+ years of technical role experience


• Extensive hands-on experience with SQL


• Experience with implementing and maintaining high-availability production systems


• Experience with BI platforms like WebFocus, Tableau, ThoughtSpot, Power BI, or similar tools


• Strong Windows and/or Linux system administration experience


• Experience working with SQL and cloud based relational databases such as Snowflake


• Experience with authentication and authorization systems like LDAP, Kerberos, AD, and IAM


• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP


• Experience debugging networking issues such as DNS resolutions, proxy settings, security groups


• Experience with developing monitoring architecture and implementing monitoring agents, dashboards, escalations, and alerts


• Knowledge of security controls for the public cloud (encryption of data in motion/rest and key management)


• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with an aptitude for learning new technologies


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interface with both technical and non-technical individuals as needed


• Strong development skills in Python or other scripting language


• BI tool administration certification desired

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
