RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client, a leading organization in the telecommunications industry, is seeking two skilled Network Architects to join their engineering team in Greenwood Village, CO for a high-profile project focused on building the next generation of DOCSIS (5.0). This strategic initiative aims to leverage existing DOCSIS infrastructure within a 5G network strategy, requiring expertise to design the necessary infrastructure and standards.

Role Focus:
Each Network Architect will specialize in either DOCSIS PHY or DOCSIS MAC, both critical for enabling reliable data transmission over cable networks.

Responsibilities:
DOCSIS PHY Layer Architect:

• Manage signal levels and performance to ensure signal stability


• Oversee budget management related to signal performance


• Address signal attenuation throughout the cable network

DOCSIS MAC Layer Architect:

• Oversee medium access control and manage bandwidth allocation


• Implement Quality of Service (QoS) management to ensure optimal network performance


• Ensure network security and handle multicast traffic

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred


• Expertise in HFC DAA, DOCSIS, PON, Mobile, and Wi-Fi access technologies


• Working knowledge of various access technologies, including HFC DAA, DOCSIS, and PON


• Strong interpersonal skills


• Ability to develop end-to-end architecture requirements and strategies for access networks

Nice to Have:

• Experience with RdK-B (Reference Design Kit for Broadband)


• Familiarity with TR 6

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
