Job Summary

The Standard Insurance is looking for a Sr. Systems Analyst – Service Management Office Applications (ServiceNow, PagerDuty etc.) to join our IT Service Management Office (SMO). In this role, you will work closely with business partners, IT Process Owners, ServiceNow Developers and ServiceNow Partners to align technology solutions with business needs. Based on a deep understanding of the business, you will be responsible for translating business requirements into technical / functional requirements in the form of stories for the Development Team, as you assist with designing, managing, and improving our ServiceNow and other SMO applications. With your ServiceNow expertise, you will assist with design and implement features that enable our ITSM and ITOM. You will work with business partners to identify new opportunities for expanding the use of ServiceNow, PagerDuty and other SMO applications, as well as automating applicable, manual business and IT processes. You will be responsible for continual improvement of PagerDuty. You will also define the scope of technical projects and oversee execution. You will manage the SMO’s planning meetings/huddles and workload.

  • Partner with business stakeholders to maintain a prioritized strategic roadmap, and coordinate and execute projects and enhancements.
  • Collect requirements, evaluate options, and guide the business to design and deliver quality, scalable and supportable solutions.
  • Collaborate with process owners for functional tasks and deliverables, including requirements gathering, fit/gap analysis, functional design, testing, training, reporting, support, and continuous improvement of Service Management Office applications.
  • Create and maintain project, application and requirements documents in line with ServiceNow & PagerDuty development best practices.
  • Work to drive adoption and alignment across the company's business processes and systems.
  • Ensure the consistency and quality of automation related data across ServiceNow, PagerDuty and integrated systems.
  • Use and recommend best practices while delivering scalable, high-quality solutions.

Skills and Background You’ll Need

  • High School Diploma or GED is required. A Bachelor's degree (technical degree preferred), ITIL V3/V4 Certifications, and/or ServiceNow Systems Administration Certification is preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience implementing, configuring and administering SaaS business systems for a software company, with at least 5 years of ServiceNow experience. Strong knowledge and understanding of the ServiceNow platform, eco-system and best practices. Proficiency in building ServiceNow reports and dashboards.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of IT Service Management and ITIL best practice for Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Configuration Management and Service Mapping, ServiceNow reports and dashboards.
  • Experience with SLDC methodologies like Agile, Kanban, Scrum, Scaled Agile.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required, including experience meeting with and presenting information to senior leadership.
  • Analytical mindset. Proven ability to work creatively and apply problem solving, technical, and project management skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, hardworking, and a great team player with excellent interpersonal skills. Passion for creating a frictionless end user experience.

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range:

$104,750.00 - $178,000.00
