Responsibilities:


• Compiles and records cable data from documents such as customer orders, work orders, and product specifications.


• Calculates factors such as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, and amount of scrap.


• Creates cable reports based on data compiled, tabulated, and computed.


• Maintains files of documents used and prepared.


• Prepares documentation for cable shipments, including labels, itemization forms, declaration forms, and shipping log.


• Performs cycle counts and maintains accurate inventory controls.


• Tracks work order status and work-in-process throughout the operation.


• Maintains open work order file.


• Opens and closes work orders according to system requirements.


• Other duties as assigned through identified and established process improvements


Requirements:


General education.


• Two years related experience, including shop floor controls, inventory management, cycle counting, and production planning.


• Thorough working knowledge of Excel, Word, and JD Edwards.


• Ability to handle multiple tasks.


• Sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.


• Ability to work under pressure.


• Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.


• Good communication skills.


• Ability to calculate figures and amounts. Ability to apply mathematical concepts.


• Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
