Purpose
To provide Refugee Cash and Medical Assistance (RCMA) case management services to refugees and other ORR-eligible populations through the CMA Program. The CMA case manager is responsible for managing the provision of services to assist newly arrived refugee clients to attain self-sufficiency short-term cash assistance and referrals to employment and English language instruction services.
Responsibilities
Screen clients for eligibility into CMA Programs and provide application, intake, assessment, and enrollment.
Ensure monthly compliance of CMA program participant.
Administering monthly cash assistance payments and tracking expenses.
Refer CMA clients to employment services, ELI services, and other services as appropriate.
Ensure that all enrollments and client information is accurately inputted into the agency and state funder databases
Manage ORR-eligible cases, ensuring timely delivery of services and fulfillment of requirements outlined in the RSS Providers Manual as required by TXOR
Request client timely and accurate RCA payments including monthly cash assistance payments and early employment bonuses.
Complete all case notes and program documentation, ensures accuracy and compliance within program guidelines and confirms timely delivery of services.
Recertify clients for RCA at month 7, and screen monthly for continued eligibility.
Ensure clients remain in compliance with the program and provide supporting documentation when necessary.
Enter all required information into the eRed database in a timely manner and provide orientation of RMA program and available services to enrolled clients.
Assist with medical assistance requests when needed.
Prepare and maintain detailed case files, required forms, and reports.
Serve as advocate for clients with service providers or agencies and in the community
Perform other related duties as requested by the CMA Program Officer, Integration Program Manager and/or the Associate Director of Integration Programs.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
Experience: 3 years of previous work experience with refugee resettlement case management or other direct social services preferred.
Other Skills:
Computer literacy, using word processing and database applications.
Special Requirements
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle. Mileage accrued while executing work responsibilities is reimbursable by CWS
Must complete motor vehicle record check
Must be willing and able to travel
