Ideal Candidate Requirements:
5+ years as a maintenance mechanic, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
Expertise in Electrical Troubleshooting, PLCs, Hydraulics, and Pneumatics.
Proficient in reading schematics, using a voltmeter, and understanding PLCs and ladder logic.
Experience managing CMMS systems and maintenance programs.
Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience preferred.
Basic welding skills.
Available to troubleshoot over the phone and handle emergencies during off hours, including some weekends.
Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred; robotics experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the maintenance team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations in collaboration with Plant Manager.
Set performance standards and conduct regular reviews.
Develop and implement maintenance schedules for equipment and facilities.
Coordinate preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure reliability.
Prepare and manage the maintenance budget.
Control maintenance costs and optimize resource allocation.
Oversee the maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and systems.
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Diagnose and resolve equipment issues promptly.
Implement solutions to prevent recurring problems.
Promote and enforce safety protocols and procedures.
Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulations.
Manage spare parts and maintenance supplies inventory.
Ensure availability of necessary parts to reduce downtime.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Generate reports on equipment performance, maintenance costs, and downtime.
Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments.
Communicate effectively with vendors and contractors for external services.
Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes and efficiency.
Implement best practices and new technologies to enhance operations.
