Job Description:

Location: Raleigh, NC

Salary: $90,000.00 USD Annually - $120,000.00 USD Annually

Description: Our client is currently seeking an Assistant Controller.


Responsible for all financial and accounting tasks for the business, including the creation of management and financial reports. supports the general reporting and accounting systems. assists the CFO in planning, budgeting, and the analysis and reporting of financial data as well as necessary filings and reports. presents the CFO with findings and suggestions.


This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Make all approved and necessary entries to the general ledger, ensuring that the financial records are kept in accordance with generally accepted accounting


• Record commissions transactions to ensure accurate processing of payroll by the Director of HR


• Prepare standard and custom financial and management reports using the reporting tools, currently FACTS ERP, ProDecisions, Excel and PowerBI.


• Provide regular reporting of performance to budget with variance analyses.
  
  


• Serve as the liaison between the company and independent accountants hired to review the financial records. This includes, but is not limited to, preparing all files and records requested in the Auditors' Client Assistance List.
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 5+ years of accounting experience, with the ability to supervise employees as an assistant controller or an accounting manager, depending on the depth of the experience
  
  


• Expert knowledge of technology and software, including PowerBI and ProDecisions ideally as well as advanced Excel and reporting tools.


• Strong knowledge of GAAP including accrual and inventory accounting
  
  


• Knowledge of tax preferably in an S-Corp environment
  
  


• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  
  


• CPA preferred
  
  


• Experience in commission-based and/or distribution business preferred
