About the Opportunity

The Human Resources (HR) Department has an immediate opening for a Senior/Advanced HR Business Partner supporting the National IT Office of Operations. The Business Partner serves as a trusted advisor, providing consultation to business leaders regarding human capital issues and initiatives; demonstrates solid business acumen and provides strategic HR consultation and customized solutions to assigned line(s) of business; serves as a strategic partner to the leaders and organizations he/she supports; integrates HR strategy and provides guidance that adds value to the business.

This position is required to be onsite on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week.

What You Will Do:


  • Develops a deep understanding of the business strategy and operations of the Bank and line of business portfolio 


  • Understands and evaluates the human capital/HR needs of the business unit(s) and provides forward-looking solutions


  • Provides strategic HR support and counsel to the business leaders including workforce planning, succession management, talent/organizational development and performance, organizational design, change management


  • Acts as change agent and promotes innovation and continuous improvement


  • Guides the implementation of HR initiatives/solutions for client business lines


  • Provides ongoing leadership coaching and consultation


  • Leads cross-functional teams comprised of experts from various HR disciplines to ensure that business unit objectives and challenges are proactively diagnosed and addressed



  • Partners w/HR cross-functional teams to:



    • ensure job openings and requirements are clearly understood and proactively addressed


    • address staff relations problems, evaluate trends, and develop plans with the business leaders to address trends


    • conduct organizational diagnoses, design solutions, and implement solutions to address root causes of organizational design and development issues


    • ensure reward and recognition strategies are effective to attract and retain a high-quality workforce




  • Maintains a knowledge of progressive HR practices and key trends that could influence the design and implementation of HR programs and practices


  • Shares best practices with HR team leaders across the organization


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience


  • Minimum of 5 to 9 years (9+ at the Advanced level) of HR Business Partner experience with proven success in leadership or consulting roles (required)


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint (required)


  • Travel to other branches on an as needed basis (may be required)


  • Solid business acumen and strategic thinking


  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization


  • Consulting and coaching skills with senior management (required)


  • Comprehensive understanding of the HR field and the role of HR in supporting business strategy


  • Ability to identify and implement innovative strategies and tactics that support business strategy


  • Experience supporting IT/technology sector desired


  • Knowledge of Agile methodology desired


  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Sponsorship is not available for this role. The selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility for this specific position requires U.S. Citizenship or three or more years of Permanent Resident (Green Card) status.


  • The hiring range of the HR Business Partner – Senior is $114,600 – $157,000 annually.


  • The hiring range of the HR Business Partner – Advanced is $126,70 – $174,000 annually.  


  • Salary offered will be based on the job responsibilities and the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as defined in the job qualifications.


  • The Fifth District provides a hybrid work environment. This position is required to be onsite on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week.
