SUMMARY: Responsible for proper staffing in all areas of vessel crewing, serving as backup to Crewing Administrators and Crewing leadership.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure vessels are staffed appropriately. Assist with time sensitive crewing duties including extra work requests, ship activations, gapped billets, hot fills and other duties assigned by manager. Provide vacation coverage for all fleets/crewing admins. Support Fleet Planning as assigned. Act as trainer for new and existing crewing teams. Generate reports, data verification and data management. Provide support to payroll. Develop and maintain relationships with business units, operations and unions to facilitate all areas of crewing. Responsible for performing any and all crewing functions required to sustain operations. EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent with course work after high school and job-related experience or training required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years of experience in crewing, maritime logistics, working within union collective bargaining agreements or related experience. Experience with managing direct reports is preferred.

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Word in addition to programs such as Smartsheets, Concur and NS.

COMPETENCIES: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, goals and objectives. Ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope. Ability to compile, review and reconcile data or accuracy, completeness and compliance. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Ability to gather, interpret, report, and edit information. Ability to function effectively with or as part of a team. Ability to indirectly mentor, coach, train and/or supervise employees.

JOB SCOPE: Position impacts multiple business units/segments.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor and the ability to sit for long periods of time.
