The Opportunity

• Seeking Board Eligible/Certified Emergency Medicine physicians.
• Current IL state license is a plus.
• Will split time at Holy Cross Hospital, about seven miles away.
• Candidates wanting to work in an academic setting with current residents desired.

The Practice

Mount Sinai Hospital - Chicago, Illinois

• Mount Sinai Hospital is a 300-licensed bed teaching hospital in Chicago, IL.
• Level I Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center and STEMI Receiving Center.
• 23 ED beds plus 7 fast track.
• Annual ED volume of 38,000 with 18% admit rate.
• EPIC EMR with Dragon dictation.
• Safety net hospital that sees a lot of inner-city medicine.
• Offers care to communities on the West and Southwest sides of Chicago.
• Mount Sinai Hospital EM physicians also staff Holy Cross Hospital ER (about 7-mile distance).

• 264-licensed bed community hospital with an annual 45,000 ED patients.
• Provides a range of services for inpatient and outpatient care, including medical, surgical, intensive care, emergency, primary care, behavioral health services, including Chicago's first comprehensive crisis stabilization unit, as well as hospice and palliative care services operated by Seasons Hospice.
• Cardiology and Neurology services including echo-cardiogram, stress testing, electrocardiograms (EKG), arterial blood flow testing and electroencephalograms (EEG).
• Advanced imaging technology includes digital mammography, x-ray, both 16 and 64-slice CT, MRI, ultrasound and nuclear medicine scanners.
• Surgical services and procedures including a variety of specialties: gastrointestinal, gynecology obstetrics, general surgery, orthopedics, ophthalmology, podiatry, pulmonary, urology, cardiovascular, laser therapy and laparoscopic procedures.
