Your Role:
EMD Electronics in Tempe, AZ is seeking an Analytical Chemist to perform laboratory operations including chemical and physical analysis in a QC lab.
Responsibilities include:
Maintain safe working conditions and practices in compliance with established responsible care procedures
Comply with the EH&S requirements
Work in a laboratory environment and read and follow SOPs
Set up laboratory equipment and instrumentation required for QC tests, research, or process control
Prepare reagents, samples, standards according to procedures
Document and record test data and observations as a permanent record
Make calculations according to standard operating procedures/instructions
Compile and organize raw and refined data for clear communication and interpretation
Tracking or performing routine maintenance on analytical equipment
Maintain appropriate laboratory supply levels
Effectively and efficiently organize daily activities to achieve expected results
Maintain higher housekeeping standard
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or other Scientific discipline
2+ years laboratory experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or other Scientific discipline
1+ years experience in an analytical or QC laboratory
Advanced analytical experience including chromatograph analysis, physical property, and particle characterization
Excellent mathematical and statistical skills
Knowledge of chemical analyses and processes
Good computer skills (excel, scientific instrument software, LIMS, NWA, JMP)
Ability to work in a team environment with good communication skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Possess initiative, self-motivation, and good organizational skills
