RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Tech Advisor - Software Development, Principal in Duncan, OK.

Summary:
We are looking for a Tech Advisor with strong system administration skills, focusing on server setup, backup strategies, and disaster recovery. You will manage Windows servers (on-prem and cloud) and optimize infrastructure for long-term stability. The Tech Advisor will work closely with engineering teams using SolidWorks. You will not need prior experience with the software, just a solid understanding of the foundational system requirements and the team will train you on SolidWorks specifics. This role has flexible hours with some after-hours required for global support.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field preferred but not required


• 4+ years of experience in system administration, with expertise in Windows operating systems, server management, and cloud environments


• Familiarity with virtualization, high-end server hardware, and SQL databases

Top Skills:
Server Setup & Management:

• Expertise in setting up, maintaining, and optimizing Windows operating systems


• Experience with virtual and physical servers


• Knowledge of backup strategies and implementation for both on-premises and cloud environments

Disaster Recovery & System Rebuild:

• Strong understanding of disaster recovery processes, including the ability to rebuild both virtual and physical systems after failures or cybersecurity incidents

Proactive Problem Solving:

• Ability to assess existing infrastructure and propose solutions to improve performance, scalability, and robustness


• Logical, forward-thinking approach to system optimization

SolidWorks Support:

• Familiarity with basic building blocks of SolidWorks system support (training on specifics will be provided)

Networking & Infrastructure:

• Understanding of routers, switches, and network configurations


• SQL Database management experience

Cloud & Virtualization:

• Experience with cloud environments and virtualization technologies


• Familiarity with high-end server hardware and software

Data Security:

• Knowledge of company security protocols and managing intellectual property within a secure infrastructure

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
