Product Support & Logistics Division (PSLD) is responsible for the worldwide distribution of Cat aftermarket parts, integrated logistics, segment procurement, and the design and manufacture of wear and maintenance components.

As an Accountant supporting the PSLD Procurement organization providing financial support and guidance to an organization of about 400 procurement professionals supporting direct material and logistics procurement services for all nearly every business within the enterprise.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead all financial analysis and governance of PSLD's Reduced Purchased Material and cost management programs.
  • Support TCO and DCF analysis, commodity forecasting and analysis improvement initiatives, freight rate support, and contract reviews
  • Day-to-day support of PSLD sourced direct material purchases financial analysis
  • Lead the tracking and analysis of tier 1 and tier 2 level scorecards for the Procurement organization
  • Take part in special projects and ad hoc reporting requests.
  • Support monthly leadership results presentations preparation
What You Have:
  • Education/Experience : The position typically requires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent/experience.
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail : Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
  • Analytical Thinking : Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Effective Communications : Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Managing Multiple Priorities : Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
  • Problem Solving : Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Accounting : Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.
Top Candidates Will Have :
  • Accounting or Finance degree
  • PowerBI experience
  • Procurement financial support experience
Additional Details :
  • Location: Morton, Il
  • Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify
  • This role is a full time, Hybrid position and currently requires 3 days a week in office
  • Sponsorship is not available
