Dispatcher at Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC in SUNNYVALE, Texas

Job Description:

Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. This role will focus on coordinating logistics between drivers and load pullers to ensure timely deliveries. Additionally, you will be cross-trained to cover the Dispatch and Shipping Manager's responsibilities, excluding duties related to physical work in the lumber yard.



Key Responsibilities:




Dispatch Coordination:

• Plan and assign driver routes to various delivery locations.


• Maintain communication with drivers throughout their shifts, resolving any routing or scheduling issues.


• Confirm completed deliveries with customers and ensure all shipments meet the required standards.


• Evaluate delivery performance and report any safety or operational concerns.

Customer Service:

• Manage delivery inquiries, including rescheduling and resolving delivery issues.


• Provide outstanding customer service via phone and email.


• Facilitate returns and coordinate necessary pickups.

Administrative Support:

• Enter data and maintain organized records of shipping and dispatch paperwork.


• Scan and submit purchase orders to the Accounting Department.


• Support inventory management through accurate data entry and tracking.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to company safety policies and report any identified hazards.


• Manage procurement of diesel and production supplies for machinery operations.

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.


• Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.


• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with scheduling tools.


• Willingness to learn lumber grades and related math skills within three months.

Experience:

• At least 1 year of entry-level management or supervisory experience (required).


• 2+ years of administrative/dispatching experience (required).


• Familiarity with manufacturing processes or systems (preferred).

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework is a plus.


• Proficiency in English is required; Spanish language skills are advantageous.

Conduct:

• Strong attendance, punctuality, and reliability.


• Positive, team-oriented attitude with a focus on achieving goals.


• Safety-minded and capable of handling emergency situations responsibly.
