Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Pediatric Anesthesiology with a focus on Pediatric Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. ABA certification with subspecialty certification or board eligibility in Pediatric Anesthesiology and Pennsylvania licensure required. Rank will be commensurate with experience.
The major emphasis of the Academic Clinician track is ongoing teaching and clinical excellence, and a sustained record of professionalism.Clinical responsibilities may include direct patient care and medical direction in the cardiothoracic operating rooms and procedural areas.
Primary practice is located at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Experience in pediatric cardiothoracic anesthesiology and evidence of academic productivity and leadership in projects related to an area of focus is required.
