Waldorf Astoria is looking for a Safety and Compliance Supervisor to join the team in Chicago's Gold Coast!

Reminiscent of the grand Parisian hotels of the 1920s, this luxury hotel features 214 rooms, over 5,000 square feet of meeting space and 4 food and beverage outlets. This includes a restaurant, 2 bars, and in-room dining.

What will I be doing?

As a Safety and Compliance Supervisor , you would be responsible for assisting with hotel and company-wide compliance and trainingto ensure the safety of guests and team members and the security of the hotel and property in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:


  • Oversee the control and organization of lost and found items.
  • Maintain communication with guests regarding their lost items and coordinate shipping of recovered items.
  • Track and manage all workers' compensation claims and incident reports.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of incidents and follow-up on claims as needed.
  • Organize and conduct monthly safety training for all departments to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Lead monthly safety committee meetings, addressing safety concerns and improvement initiatives.
  • Deliver safety presentations to all new hires during their onboarding process to familiarize them with the property's safety protocols and procedures.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between external security team and the hotel, addressing staffing needs, feedback, and other security-related issues.
  • Ensure full compliance with Hilton's risk and safety standards, including the execution of Quality Assurance (QA) audits.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into incidents, which may include reviewing and saving relevant video footage for reference or further action.
  • Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of the hotel's digital key system to ensure seamless guest access.
  • Execute security measures for VIP guests, ensuring their privacy, safety, and security during their stay.
  • Control, manage, and audit the Dormakaba door lock system for both the hotel property and associated residences to ensure secure access control.
