Identify, define and acquire funding resources available to the agency including grants from government entities, corporations and foundations, as well as gifts from individuals.
Maintain ongoing contact with agency staff regarding programs, services and plans.
Assist in the development of new program initiatives, in the areas of residential, vocational, developmental, and behavioral health expansion.
Prepare proposals and coordinate subsequent negotiations in soliciting funds.
Coordinate community networking.
Develop strategies for and coordinate all fundraising activities for the agency including planned giving.
Continue to develop and strengthen Cornerstone's unique and compelling voice to build awareness in the community.
Supervise and direct the Director of Development on all fundraising, public relations and marketing plans.
Supervise and direct the Manager of Donor Relations with philanthropic strategies to increase donor relations, endowment funds and Legacy Society members.
Assist in staffing the Development/Public Relations Committee, particularly as it relates to the Committee's activities around securing corporate/foundation grants and individual gifts.
Develop, prepare, and maintain all HUD homeless grants, including interacting with HUD officials.
Maintain ongoing compliance with all agency-related training and certification requirements.
Respond per established procedures to all emergency situations including medical, behavioral, fire, severe weather, and other hazards.
Operate agency or personal vehicle in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Own, maintain, and use personal smartphone for company business in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned by the President/Chief Executive Officer.
Bachelor's degree required. Minimum 7 years of fund development experience. Experience in developing and implementing a fundraising strategy from diverse sources. Knowledge of CRM, preferably Donor Perfect. Experience in grant writing. Ability to multitask and manage multiple demands and projects. Excellent communication skills required. Driving record and auto insurance coverage in accordance with agency policy. A post offer physical and criminal background check required. Reliable transportation required. EOE.
