Job Description:

TheFacilities Directoris responsible to formulate and administercomprehensive maintenance plansforthe YMCA locationsas assigned.Time is spent on general maintenance and repair, preventative maintenance, pool filtration, housekeeping, expense control, staff development and supervision,project management,contract bidding to meet the needs of the membership and community in a safe, clean and operable facility.

Schedulewillinclude weekend and evening work as required.Travel is required throughout central Kentucky.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep offacilities,includingthe pool, parking lots, and groundsutilizingUpKeepor similar work management system.Plan, budget and manages, under the direction of theBranch Executive, the MaintenanceDepartmentin order to provide a balanced or surplus operation.May provide direct leadership and supervision of maintenance staff including recruitment, team building, training, and evaluations. Primary contact for Housekeeping Service Vendor at the branch.Maintain all operating equipment with preventative maintenance programming.Keeps inventory with up to date items in appropriate quantities.Inspect, replace, repair and purchase all YMCA operating equipment and report to theBranch Executive.Actively serves on thepropertymanagement teamand implements strategies and procedures and meeting quality standards.Attends Association Management Team meetings, staff retreats and other association events/meetings as assignedActively participates in training as agreed upon byBranch ExecutiveActively participates as a member of the staff team working together to achieve the Associations Strategic Plan.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:

Minimum offive(5)yearsof maintenanceexperiencethat includes pool operation (CPO certificationor able to obtain within 90 days), small engine maintenance, plumbing, electrical, boiler operation, HVAChighly preferred.EPA certified preferred.Experience in staff supervision,team building, andexpense control.Experience managing construction projects, reading building plans and working with contractors and sub-contractors.Ability to direct assigned operations, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of budgets.Must possess outstanding public relations skills, tact, diplomacy, and a clear courteous professional manner witha diverse population.

Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and be able to interpret data for effective decision-making

Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and data and draw well-thought conclusions for effective decision-making and planning

Office and Computer Skills:

Must be able to operate standard office and computer equipment

Must have experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Must be versed in budgeting and financial software.
