Job Description:

Furnish patients and health care providers with private pay estimates.Assist patients with financial applications, arrangements and provide financial counseling through resources with PARO, financial assistance program and Care Payment partners.Process financial assistance applications following the Financial Assistance policy guidelines.Communicate terms of Financial Policy to patients for full comprehension of payment expectations.Collection and processing of estimated liabilities from patients.Assist patients with the application process for Missouri Medicaid.Adheres to HIPAA policies; maintains patient and facility confidentiality.Possesses the ability to work under stressful conditions and remain helpful, courteous, and still perform job functions accurately and timely.Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Assist patients with billing related questions or concerns.Processing bankruptcy notices and notifying third party vendors of impacted accounts.Manages monthly school and client billing accounts.Responsible for submitting and updating reports to third party vendors.Maintains knowledge of hospital policies as they pertain to billing operations.Attends in-services, seminars, educational meetings as applicable.Participates in informal teaching of new employees/co-workers.Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
