Our client is currently seeking a Personal Care Assistant
Position: Personal Care Assistant
Type: Contract - school year and on!
Hours: Monday-Friday - 8:00am-3:00pm (30 minute, unpaid lunch)
This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Providing support to the instructional program within assigned classroom with specific responsibility for assisting in the supervision, care and instruction of special needs students in the regular classroom or in a self- contained classroom;
- Assisting in implementing plans for instruction; monitoring student behavior during non-classroom time; providing information to appropriate school personnel; and attending IEP meetings.
- High School Diploma
- Updated clearances required to work in a school setting
- Highly Qualified Paraprofessional status.
- Experience with children.
- Experience with students with behaviors.
- Flexibility and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively and regularly with a computer.
- Adequate verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to function under the direction of the teacher.
- Good judgment.
- Ability to establish rapport with students.
- Ability to maintain positive relationships with program staff.
- Reliable means of transportation: Must Have CAR
