Salary: $62,000.00 USD Annually - $100,000.00 USD Annually

Description:

Job Summary: Oversee and manage production operations to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality output. Lead and motivate a team to achieve production goals, identify process improvements, and resolve issues.



Position Responsibilities:

• 
  Production Oversight: Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality, productivity, and cost standards.
• 
  Team Leadership: Lead and manage production staff, providing training, guidance, and support.
• 
  Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
• 
  Resource Management: Ensure availability of necessary resources, including materials, equipment, and human capital, to support production schedules.
• 
  Safety and Compliance: Promote a safe work environment by enforcing safety regulations and participating in safety initiatives.
• 
  Continuous Improvement: Support continuous improvement efforts in safety, quality, cost, and customer service.

Position Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required; bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, Food Science, Agricultural Sciences, or related field preferred.
• Minimum two years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and loss.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Working knowledge of plant equipment and safety procedures.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
• Experience in a food-processing or manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Ability to work weekends and/or shift work.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste, and smell.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  
  
  
  
  
• Exposure to a noisy environment with varying temperatures.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Oversee department-specific sanitation operations to maintain a clean and food-safe environment.
• Evaluate subordinate performance and provide feedback for improvement.
• Participate in plant and company safety programs.
• Provide leadership and direction for plant continuous improvement initiatives.
• Attend and lead production meetings.
• Lead and manage cross-functional teams.
• Respond to employee grievances.
• Ensure adherence to manufacturing standards and documentation.
• Work with limited direct supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma).
• Proficiency with SAP or other enterprise resource planning systems.
• Bilingual skills (Spanish preferred).
