Overview
The Events Manager will lead the organization and programming for NYU Ecosystem Center events, which is funded by the NYU Provost Office and the US National Science Foundation. The NYU Ecosystem Center is a new center focused on science, engineering, innovation and equity, and it is a cultural hub to discuss and develop next generation ideas in STEM. This role will facilitate events from Nobel Laureate speakers to round tables about equity in STEM and discussions with High-Tech Gurus. This is a fixed term 2 year grant funded position.
Responsibilities
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related area
Preferred Education: Master's Degree in a related area
Required Experience: 3+ years experience in project management, event planning, and/or communications.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in using event management and communication platforms (Eventbrite, LinkedIn, etc.). Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Experience in an academic or research environment. Familiarity with NYU policies and procedures. Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $82,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
