RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in McLean, VA that is seeking a Data Management Engineer.

Summary:
This is an opportunity to support data management and engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. Driving research and data focused efforts, the Data Management Engineer will have the chance to architect data systems, build out ETL pipelines, interface with data stores, perform data ingestion and handling of structured and unstructured data, improve data quality, and build data models. From performing analytical exploration and examination of data to leading the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms, this role will guide their clients to solve their most pressing challenges.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree


• Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information


• Experience with software and systems engineering in all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)


• Experience with architecting, engineering, performance and capacity, deployment standards in production, product integration, product support, overall fitment, such as product usage, and setting up data management environments


• Experience with developing ETL and data pipelines


• Experience with data modeling, schema configuration, data quality, and standardization techniques


• Experience with PL/SQL, SQL, or Shell scripting


• Ability to work in a big data environment


• Ability to learn technical concepts quickly, demonstrate technical solutions, standards, and best practices, and communicate with multiple functional groups

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
