Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Plant Processing Accountant in Houston, TX.

Duties:

• Convert allocations and settlements in MS Excel to the Waterfield system, and provide on-going support and maintenance for Waterfield


• Assist Revenue and Midstream accountants with their gas allocation and settlements


• Provide training to the Revenue accountants and other groups in gas accounting, allocations, settlements, contract terms, and other relevant tasks


• Provide support to the gas accountants during accounting close and as needed


• Read agreements and assist revenue accountants with setting up allocations


• Seek process improvements and efficiencies


• Work with other departments to obtain information as needed


• Assist other departments in providing information and training as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related business field (for example, Finance) including core accounting class hours relevant to the position, is required


• Minimum 5 years of experience in natural gas plant accounting and allocations and/or oil and gas revenue accounting experience required


• Strong background in natural gas plant accounting and allocations is required


• Proficiency with MS Excel, SQL, and Waterfield/TIPS, or similar software application, is required


• Must have working knowledge of and ability to apply generally accepted accounting principles


• Position requires sound analytical ability and strong ability to gather and communicate data logically, accurately, and concisely; Must be able to meet rigorous deadlines and work effectively with others


• Must be able to perform most assignments with minimal supervision


• Must be a quick learner, self-starter, and independent worker

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
