Basic PurposeManages all aspects of materials management, including inventory management and warehouse logistics. Develops and executes policies, processes, and procedures to support all aspects of inventory management forecasting/planning, warehouse operations and materials investment recovery. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversees all aspects of materials management including Inventory Management:
Manages communications with internal customers to ensure efficiency of operations and customer satisfaction
Manages investment recovery activities to ensure optimal identification and disposal of obsolete materials. Coordinates material requirements to ensure adequate supply and efficient movement of materials
Evaluates material shortages and assists in determination of appropriate inventory levels
Ensures consistent inventory management practices across all company business locations Warehousing/Logistics:
Ensures accurate receipt, issuing, staging and fulfillment of materials across warehouses
Ensures proper levels of staffing, work scheduling, and supervision to deliver safe, efficient, productive use of manpower while complying with the company’s collective bargaining agreement
Ensures that all materials management activities are in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and other corporate policies and procedures.
Manages inventory asset management by conducting perpetual audits of inventory and supplier programs. Oversees investment recovery and disposal activities. Develops and executes policies, processes, and procedures to support all aspects of materials management:
Develops departmental budgets to ensure alignment with company goals
Develops and implements best practices for materials management and warehouses
Tracks performance and identify opportunities to improve operations
Monitors warehouse and customer compliance to established controls and facility access
Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company. Monitors and enforces all compliance requirements for area of responsibility. Performs related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Essential Education, Skills, and Environment Education and Work Experience Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school in the area of specialty and 6 years of related experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity. Candidates that do not possess a bachelor’s degree must have a minimum of 10 years of related work experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity. Specialized Knowledge and SkillsDemonstrated knowledge of:
Utility, budgeting, materials management and procurement practices, environmental, and hazardous material handling.
Demonstrated skills such as:
Analytical, interpersonal and communication.
Leadership, working on a team-oriented environment, decision making, project management, planning and problem-solving skills
Equipment and Applications PCs, word processing, spreadsheet, computerized inventory and purchasing management systems and database software, Work Environment and Physical Demands General office environment. Some overnight travel required.
Compensation
Annual Salary: $115,900 (Min) to $136,300 (Mid); Up to 15% Short Term Incentive Plan target opportunity at the discretion of the company. This is a non-represented position.
