The Reagent Formulations Technician for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is part of a formulation team responsible for the manufacturing of reagents used in the medical diagnostics field. This role is critical to the healthcare industry and to allow doctors and lab technicians to diagnose patients quickly and accurately all over the world.



This fully onsite position reports to the Supervisor for Aqueous Formulations and is part of the Production Operations Department located in Carlsbad, CA. In this role, you will:



  • Complete reagent formulations including testing on a variety of instruments, handling raw materials, utilizing appropriate PPE

  • Adhere to cGMP standards and follow SOPs, detailed processes, safety regulations, and contamination controls

  • Regularly use computers for routine tasks: reading and printing batch records and SOPs, complete online training, generate and analyze data, report time, perform material transactions in ERP, etc.




Required Qualifications:



  • Associate's degree and >1+ year of relevant experience in manufacturing, biotech, pharmaceutical industries or Bachelor's degree with 0-1+ years of experience


  • Ability to stand for long periods of time


  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a cross-functional group




Preferred Experience:




  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma

  • Basic understanding of working in a cGMP medical device facility

The hourly range for this role is $26 - $28/hr. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.



This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
