Posting Summary:
Manage day-to-day operations of the UVM Bookstore's Supply Department. Coordinate supply requisitions for semester and summer classes with professors and lecturers. Purchase and maintain inventory for art supplies, school and office supplies, and stationary products from a variety of national and specialized wholesalers. Receive, price, and invoice products for sale, and routinely stock and merchandise the Supply Department. Maintain sections of the UVM Bookstore website and create and edit web images and other graphic elements using specialized software. Assist customers on the sales floor and at Point-of-Sale, including the processing of departmental, scholarship, and financial aid charges. Fulfill and process online orders. Provide exceptional customer service and support UVM's commitment to diversity, inclusion, and environmental sustainability.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience):
Associates degree in art/merchandising field and three years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of computer ICS and POS system software, MS Office, Adobe and ability to utilize social media required. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, social justice and training, fostering a collaborative multicultural environment. Must be able to work some weekends, evenings and occasional University holidays with occasional overtime.
Anticipated Pay Range:
$20 to $22.15/hour
Special Conditions:
Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), A probationary period may be required, Background Check required for this position, Bargaining Unit Position - United Electrical Workers
