Nisonger Center serves the health care needs of people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. The Medical Assistant (MA) provides direct support and assistance to physicians and trainees in the provision of ambulatory medical care; supports clinical service areas by greeting patients, verifying demographic and insurance information, obtain vital signs and other clinical information; assists providers with medication management and billing errors in the electronic medical record; assists with annual reporting metrics for clinical services provided. Will need to be IHIS Super User.
Scheduled Hours: Part-Time (25 hours)
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent experience and education. 0 years of relevant experience required. 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred. At least 1 year experience in office setting preferred.
Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.
