Summary:
The Software Manager position is responsible for managing software development group as well as contributing to the development of our products as a programmer. The manager works with company management to establish department goals and objectives. The manager works with technical team leads and project management to execute and track the ongoing development of our product line.
Responsibilities:
Manages software development activities for the voting systems group. This includes analyses, product design, coordination of project estimates, development, testing, documentation, release and deployment efforts.
Participates in software development activities, providing contributions to the overall project
Work with stakeholders to develop accurate and detailed requirements documents.
Directs development of end user documentation, design and functional specifications.
Develops detailed task definition and development estimates for system-wide implementation activities based on customer requirements, design and functional specifications.
Establishes software project estimates and tracks project budgets for software development.
Provides status on project activities to project management.
Ensures project goals and milestones are achieved.
Qualifications:

Skilled Java programmer with knowledge of current web-based technologies (REACT/REST API) and GIT version control
Strong analytical, project solving and decision-making skills.
Experienced and capable user of Microsoft Office and Teams.
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Education/Experience:
Master's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work-related experience. Requires a minimum of 10 years software development experience, with 5+ years of software management experience.
Travel:
Ability to travel within the U.S. for installations and customer support. Typical trips will last for 3 days, though installations can last longer.
