Position Overview

Cumulus Tucson is currently searching for a dynamic Assistant Promotions Manager, preferably with broadcast experience and/or event marketing. The successful candidate will be extremely organized, possess exceptional communication, writing and computer skills, and know how to multi-task. The ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment is crucial.


Key Responsibilities & Qualifications




General Responsibilities

• Direct preparation and execution of station appearances, remote broadcasts and special events, including direct management of a part-time staff of 10-15 employees
• Oversee and maintain promotional vehicles, equipment and inventory
• Coordinate with the Promotions Director, Promotions Manager, Sales and Programming to execute on-going campaigns assistant
• Direct management of five station winner databases and prize distribution
• Assisting the Promotions Director and Promotions Manager in creating, planning and executing promotions, proposals, packages and recaps as needed
• Coordinate with the Promotions Director and Promotions Manager to implement station digital marketing efforts including assisting in the maintenance of station websites, email databases and social media outlets
• Coordinate with the Promotions Director and Promotions Manager in creating graphic art for event flyers and displays



Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint (experience in Photoshop and/or video editing software preferred)
• Ability to work independently, including troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and handle pressures and deadlines
• Drive a vehicle with a trailer* (up to 10,000 pounds) *training can be provided
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays


Education and Licensing Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must possess valid state driver's license
• Must provide required proof of personal vehicle insurance


Physical Requirements
• May require lifting or moving up to 25 lbs.
• May require standing for extended periods of time
