This position will support programming in Information & Media Practices. Program topics may include media development, media and information literacy, media research, and journalist security. The role will include supporting the reporting, financial management, procurement and the sub granting process. There will be regular communication with the IREX program teams at HQ and in the field. The Program Associate will need to balance sometimes competing demands.

Your Daily Tasks
Administrative, financial, and programmatic support for projects in Information and Media Practice as needed.
Tasks may include drafting or copyediting internal/external programmatic report drafts, travel and logistical arrangements, check requests, financial report reviews and contributing to internal and external communications initiatives.
Working closely with consultants, subgrantees, and partners, including regular communication, drafting agreements, and tracking payments and deliverables per relevant policies.
Lead programmatic file and data management as needed.
Support desk research as needed.
Contribute to monitoring and evaluation and data management, if assigned.
Communicate regularly with HQ teams and relevant field offices.
Communication with consultants, subgrantees, and other partners as assigned.
Copyedit or draft program reports, curriculum related materials, and communications products, as assigned.
Support regular communications with stakeholder networks.
Contribute to new business development efforts, if assigned.
Assist in developing program material, including research and design of training workshops and training manuals, as assigned.
Review of FOERs and other finance.
Prepare contracts and other procurement documents as needed.
Prepare payment requests in the AP.
Assist with subgrant management.
Assist with consultant agreements, logistics, and payments.
Process and maintain procurement and financial records, review payment requests and invoices for accuracy and compliance.
Assist with hiring process for field staff and consultants as necessary.
Coordinate travel arrangements and expense reporting for reconciliation and reimbursement.

This fulfilling position offers an anticipated salary range of approximately $43,200 - $52,000.

This position is eligible for Telework. The eligible employee is a regular, full-time DC-based staff who works from a worksite outside the DC office for one or more days a week
