As Application Chef IV - you will work closely with the Corporate Chef of our Welbilt headquarters to provide culinary leadership and support on a customer and corporate level including sales presentations, product and concept development and corporate account menu consultation. This position will involve a great deal of interaction externally and will be the key culinary interface with key accounts, new customers, culinary and executive chefs, including application consultation, menu development, trouble shooting and issues resolution.


Reporting directly to the VP MD FitKitchen, this position is based out of our corporate headquarters in New Port Richey, Florida.



Major Accountability:

  • Ensuring all in house catering and demonstrations are properly executed
  • Ensuring a clean and sanitary kitchen area
  • Assisting Corporate Executive Chef with providing a world class experience for all guests
  • Being an ambassador for the Welbilt brand at tradeshows, customer events and with all customer interaction.



Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Menu development and equipment platform demonstrations for Welbilt equipment portfolio, co-coordinating trade shows.
  • Manage corporate showroom and test kitchen and assist with special functions as required for "show & tell" on equipment portfolio.
  • Train reps, dealers and other chefs on the features, benefits and application and operation for Welbilt products.
  • Design and conduct training programs for dealer in house training sessions, in-house or virtually.
  • Support sales network with end user demonstrations and after-sale end user product and application support.
  • Monitor developments in the industry and changes in food trends and adapt to Welbilt's products and training sessions as required.
  • Participate in training and development courses to enhance skills and value-added.
  • Requisitioning of foodstuffs and materials, including Rotation and allocation of foodstuffs.
  • Preparation of both raw and cooked food.
  • Product testing - both food and equipment as required for internal, external and chain customers, including the execution and documenting of comparative testing.
  • Represent Welbilt at industry functions and contribute equipment application expertise in industry forums as the PR ambassador for Welbilt brands.
  • Report mechanical defects and needs for repairs.
  • Take all steps to ensure the maximum security of your area of assignment and all equipment and supplies contained therein.
  • Attain and subsequently maintain a high standard of hygiene in respect of the entire delivery, storage, food production and food service.



Qualifications



Education & Experience:
  • Culinary degree or CCC Certification with a minimum of 5 years of relevant culinary experience is required. Will consider 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of education.
  • High school diploma/GED is required.
  • Chef/Executive Chef experience is required with background in new product development, food science and R&D is preferred.


Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong presentation skills - ability to speak and demonstrate in front of large audiences.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Suite: Work Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Sales Force, Oracle and PowerBi
  • Strong leadership skills - use "hands-on" approach.
  • Excellent English communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and work cross functionally.
  • Self-motivator with ability to set and achieve goals; personal and team related.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations. Ability to work independently through strong organizational skills and thoughtful decision making.
  • Ability to manage workflow and administrative duties with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to sell concepts and ideas to management, peers, and employees.
  • Valid drivers license required.
  • Ability to align with Company core values.


Working Conditions:
  • This work typically requires extended periods of sitting/standing in an office environment or commercial kitchen environment.
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50-75 pounds.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and scheduling that includes after hours.
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time domestically and may require overnight stay. Valid driver's license required.
