Description: Our client is currently seeking a Medical Assistant in Jericho, New York!

Hours: Full-time (May include weekends)



Rate: Competitive & Dependent on Experience



Job Responsibilities:

• Room patients and perform vitals (blood pressure, height, weight, head circumference, temperature via oral, tympanic, or rectal).


• Clean and disinfect exam rooms after each patient visit.


• Stock rooms with necessary supplies and prepare for the next patient.


• Assist the physician during exams and treatments within the scope of practice.


• Conduct laboratory tests and rapid tests such as flu, strep, mono, RSV, and urine tests.


• Perform blood draws on children aged 0 to 21 years using heel stick, finger stick, and venipuncture techniques.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to take accurate vital signs.


• Ability to work effectively with children and their parents.


• Experience in performing blood draws, particularly on pediatric patients.


• Solid background in medical practices and patient care.


• High school diploma or equivalent.
