Tool Crib Associate
Job Summary:
The Tool Crib Associate inventories, stores, and distributes hand tools and other equipment. Maintains tool functionality and safe condition by performing frequent inspections of tools and equipment for wear, defects, or damage. Load and unload trailer. Operate wire stripper. Pull tool order list and pack for shipping. Have knowledge and process of Milwaukee Red Tote program.
Essential Functions:
The ability to unload mechanical and electrical trailers upon return from jobs/projects
The ability to keep inventory of material on shelves/racks
The ability to inventory material that is returned from jobs/projects
The ability to "tool up" jobs including but not limited to: filling gang boxes with tools, mounting threaders, chop saws, and bench grinders to tables
Report workplace hazards associated with equipment being used, workplace injuries and/or illness and workplace near miss incidents immediately to direct supervisor
The ability to lift up to 50 pounds
The ability to stand for up to 8 hours per day
The ability to operate a forklift
Knowledge of job site projects on tool orders
Qualifications:
Attention to detail, self-starter
Ability to read and use a tape measure
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication and organizational skills
Demonstrated commitment to safety
Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
Basic math skills
Should be able to self-inspect work
Knowledge and ability to use appropriate tools related to the task
Shipping and receiving experience preferred, but not required
High school diploma or equivalent work experience
Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
