Responsibilities:



  • Assist with the month-end closing process, financial statement review and analysis, and compilation of financial statements to be distributed to the Controller and Executive Leadership

  • Perform account reconciliations and detailed analyses

  • Investigate discrepancies and inform the Controller of critical issues allowing the organization to make the necessary changes

  • Participate in developing and administering accounting policies and internal controls, including suggestions for improvements and automation in the accounting space

  • Daily cash management, banking, and cash flow projections

  • Assist with various financial and overhead audits and requests

  • Support with FAR compliance and annual overhead preparation

  • Administer the project reporting process to communicate profitability to various executives and project directors

  • Aid in the maintenance of sub-ledgers within the accounting software


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting

  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience working in a fast-paced public corporate business environment

  • Experience in project-based accounting preferred

  • Proficiency with financial-based software; Deltek Accounting software preferred

  • Experience in the Architecture/Engineering (A&E) industry is a plus

  • CPA required

  • Proficient in GAAP and FAR regulations




Requirements



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:



  • Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration

  • Read, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English language

  • Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members
