Salary: $4,000/yearClassification: Part-TimeReports to: Director of Athletics & BSC Duties will include, but not limited to; assisting the head coach in all phases of an intercollegiate softball program, recruiting within conference guidelines, teaching advanced softball skills, assisting with the monitoring of individual's academic progress, overseeing transportation of the team, participate in fundraising activities, encouraging and demonstrating good sportsmanship, and processing of appropriate institutional and conference paperwork.
This position reports directly to the Director of Athletics and the Head Softball Coach. Essential Functions
Assisting the head coach in all phases of an intercollegiate softball program.
Recruiting within conference guidelines.
Teaching advanced softball skills.
Assisting with the monitoring of individual's academic progress.
Overseeing transportation of the team.
Participate in fundraising activities.
Encouraging and demonstrating good sportsmanship.
Processing of appropriate institutional and conference paperwork.
Performs other work as required.

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Demonstrated understanding of intercollegiate softball rules and regulations.
Experience as a softball coach
Current First Aid/CPR certification.
Valid unrestricted Washington State Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Demonstrated experience as a softball coach, with experience at the high school, club or college level preferred.

Terms of Employment
Assistant Coaches will be paid $4,000 annually. Conditions of EmploymentPrior to a new hire, a background check including criminal record history will be conducted.
