Ultimate Staffing is in search of an Medical Administrative Assistant who will play an important role in the patient experience. You will perform front office duties such as help manage the daily workflow, scheduling appointment and keeping patient records up to date. This person will spend 2 days in Glastonbury and 2 days in Hartford rotating Fridays each week in one of the locations. If you have at least 1 year experience as a Medical Administrative Assistant or if you are a medical office assistant or medical secretary and would like a role like this please apply right away.

What will you be doing?
Greeting patients and helping them check in
Answering phones and scheduling appointments
Updating patient records and charts
Sending billing invoices to insurance companies
Processing patient payments
Sending orders to pharmacies
Completing insurance forms
Coding patients' medical information
What qualifications should you have?
High school graduate or General Equivalency Diploma required
A minimum of one year administrative support experience is required including that period on-the-job to learn procedures specific to the department
Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
Proficiency in office software including Microsoft Office Suite and experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced and complex environment
Discretion professionalism and a commitment to confidentiality
Proficient typing skills are required in order to prepare a variety of materials
Good knowledge of English grammar punctuation and spelling to correct and edit written materials; understanding of medical terminology is most often required
A high level of interpersonal communication skills to effectively represent the supervisor in interaction with all levels of personnel within and outside the hospital
Able to travel to Glastonbury and Hartford CT
