We are seeking energetic and collaborative check-in Full-Time and Part-Time ophthalmic technicians to join our team! The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing quality eye care and excellent patient service. This exciting opportunity will work closely and be supported by a team of colleagues, strong leadership, and cutting-edge technology!
This position will train in our Nashville Clinic located at 345 23rd Ave N, Suite 350, Nashville, TN 37203.

Responsibilities
Performing patient workups, obtaining patient medical histories, and performing specialized diagnostic testingTravels to Satellite locationsPrepare examination and treatment roomsMaintains clean working environment, stocked rooms, equipment, and EOC guidelinesGeneral clinic support functionsMust have the ability to perform well in a fast-paced high-volume practice.Continuous learning to advance to assist physicians and ability to scribeThe responsibilities listed are a general overview of the position and additional duties may be assigned
Education, Training, and Experience
1-2 years of office experience working in a medical settingEffective verbal and written communication skills with patients, physicians, management, and employeesKnowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel Outlook) along with the ability to learn and adapt quickly to new software.Proficient in understanding reading and interpreting all contents of the paper and electronic medical charts (ERM)Excellent Organizational skills, multi-task, and logical thinking
Ability to be proactive, take initiative, and perform well in a fast-paced high-volume practice.Basic understanding of eye anatomy, medical terminology, ocular pathology, and eye diseases.

Maintains strict confidentiality regarding protected health information (PHI) and understands and adheres to TNRs HIPAA privacy and security policies and procedures.
Typical Physical Demands
Position requires prolonged walking, sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity are sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment is required. Employees must have a normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports.
Typical Working Conditions
Position functions within a normal office environment. Position requires prolonged walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and stretching. Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity are sufficient to operate a keyboard, mouse, telephone, copy/fax machine, and other office equipment. Employees must have a normal range of hearing and eyesight to record and prepare paper and MDI chart notes and documents. Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
