The credit union was originally chartered in 1947 as Austin Municipal Federal Credit Union to serve City of Austin employees. In 1998, we moved from a federal to a state charter, and became Austin Metropolitan Financial Credit Union (AMFCU) to better reflect the changes in our membership.

In January 2003, we changed our name to Velocity Credit Union. We took all the good things about AMFCU and added a more open membership to create a credit union with new energy and purpose. You can count on us to continually provide you with a full array of financial products and services to meet your needs now, and in the coming years as your needs change.

Today, we’re one of the largest and strongest credit unions in the state of Texas. We have over $1 billion in assets, and serve more than 88,000 members.

Our community charter is open to anyone that lives or works in the five county area (Travis, Hays, Williamson, Bastrop, Caldwell).

ITM Teller

Our Member Services team seeks top-performing applicants to support our ITM expansion strategy. If you want to work with members directly via video screen, you may be an excellent fit for our ITM team!

This position will work onsite at our North Austin headquarters; this position is not eligible for remote work.

Experience Needed:



  • ITM Teller: Minimum of six months of customer service and cash handling experience.

  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency using typical office applications and equipment.

  • Passion for providing outstanding customer service and a positive attitude.

  • Proficiency in managing negotiable instruments.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.

  • Effective time management skills, including prioritizing responsibilities and organizing work tasks.

  • Ownership of the customer experience through issue resolution.

  • Adaptable to a productive team environment where knowledge is shared and feedback and coaching are welcomed.

  • Flexibility to work department hours, including Saturdays.

As our members’ first point of contact, you will be Velocity's pleasant, professional, and friendly face. You will provide exceptional service, conduct financial transactions, and educate members about services that may enhance their financial well-being.
