Atlas Van Lines is seeking a rational, detail-oriented candidate to work as a Cargo Claims Representative on our Claims Services team. The ideal candidate will have previous customer service experience in an office environment and effective communication skills.
What You'll be Doing:
Obtain and review information gathered from customers, repair firms, agents, and drivers to properly process a claim from beginning to end. Help review and oversee work information obtained by CSC I and II during this process also.
Use available screens, PC software programs, and Internet sites to gather information to process a claim from beginning to end.
Properly identify and notify agents of their liability and invoice them under the proper Atlas rules.
Send and receive written and verbal correspondence with customers, agents, PVOs, other Atlas departments, and repair firms. Work and participate in a team environment.
Review and respond to information provided by agents and customers against our claim’s decisions.
Identify and communicate with agents, customers, and PVOs to find missing items.

Employment Type & Hours:
Full-time hourly position that will consist of 40 hours per week.
Hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm, M-F
Possible overtime during peak season
Qualifications
What You'll Need:
High School Diploma/Equivalent. Associate degree preferred.
5+ years' experience in a fast-paced customer service environment
Excellent reasoning ability
Effective problem-solving, organizational, analytical, oral and communication skills
Knowledge of Database, Spreadsheet, and Word Processing software such as Microsoft Office
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, agents, and other outside organizations.
Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
