Job Description:

In this position located in St. Mary's County Maryland, you will create or evolve dynamic interfaces, interactive media, and ICW content to support multiple projects under NAWCAD WOLF ASI, associated DoD/Federal programs, and NAS Pax River. Projects and interdisciplinary teamwork will support in-house products, training systems, IETMs, data analysis tools, project management systems, and information fusion websites. As well as integrating external systems or loosely coupled inputs from external systems into these solutions. This position is open to developers in all US locations with a preference for technically qualified candidates located within 100 driving miles of Webster Field in St. Inigoes MD or Lexington Park, MD and able to support up to 4 day trips per month to these locations as required. Applicants must have a mid-level combination of education and experience demonstrated with one of the following combinations: A Bachelor's degree in a computer science, math, engineering, science, media development, or information/data discipline with at least 4 years' experience. OR an Associates in a relevant field as described earlier with at least 6 years' experience. OR a high school diploma/GED with at least 9 years' experience. A relevant professional certification (Security+, SAFe Agile Software Engineer/SAFe for Architect, MCSD, JavaScript Developer Certification, etc.) may be substituted for 2 years of experience. More targeted certification in HTML5, XML, CSS3, JavaScript, mobile application development, or MCSA may be substituted for 1 year of experience. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen and able to qualify for a Security Clearance. Active Security Clearance is a plus. Position may require travel up to 10% of the time, mostly within less than 150 miles of NAS Pax River. Required Skills: At least 3 years of experience in two or more of the below areas or 5+ in a single area:

• JavaScript development in SPA sites/applications
• Microsoft .NET Framework (C# preferred) or Java
• XML development and data transformation
• Microservice architecture
• Application of scalable design within Agile Development
• NG Bootstrap and jQuery
• DoD Training or MIS Software Development
• Legacy application migration to modern architectures
• Video Game Development

Additional desired experience includes:

• User Story decomposition into technical solution components
• Agile Test-Driven Development
• Data transformation for analytics
• Standards-based web design using HTML5 and CSS3
• Web Services with JavaScript (AJAX) Web service data formats (JSON, JSON-P, XML)

• Proficiency in creating and improving middle layer/business process element interaction into scalable local, web, and cloud deployments.
• Demonstrated ability to translate design, objectives, and requirements from high level user stories and evolutionary rapid prototyping.
• Demonstrated ability to re-purposing and modifying existing codebase or integrate new code in a non-disruptive way while maintaining configuration management
• Demonstrated ability to document and present solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
• Demonstrated ability to decompose high level requirements, use cases, and user stories into developmental tasks working with Analysts, Developers, and Designers
• Strong skills in debugging and troubleshooting applications to facilitate fixes and improvements.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Ability to work with a geographically distributed team of integrated analyst, SMEs, developers, and systems architects
• Ability to communicate technical issues and implementations to non-technical users for both troubleshooting and product enhancements.
• Experience Developing solutions t for deployment within DoD and National Guard environments including preferably NMCI or NKO infrastructure.
• Experience and strong desire to participate in the full project life cycle from concept to delivery. This includes requirements gathering, developing project plans, architecting solutions and testing.
